Ingredients
- 300 gms of multigrain flour (here you can mix flour of your choice ,for ex wheat flour, corn flour, maida etc)
- 200 gms of jagri
- 4-5 tbsp ghee
- 1/2 tbsp of crushed cardamom
- 3 tbsp of crushed nuts (again , you can choose the nuts , I have taken cashew nuts and para nuts)
How to Prepare ?
- Heat the 1 tbsp of ghee in a large , heavy bottomed pan and add crushed nuts . Fry it for 2 mins in a low flame. Transfer it to a another vessel.
- Now add remaining 2 tbsp of ghee and add flour into it . Fry it for 15-20 mins in a low flame until it gives a nice aroma. Now transfer it into a vessel used for fried nuts.
- Now add jagri and add 1/4 cup of water to the same frying pan, and bring it to boil . Specially in this step you have to be very very careful as we should get this syrup into a right consistency. After 5-6 mins , take a small spoon of syrup and cool it down, Now if it is getting stick between your fingers we are done. If not continue boiling , keep checking till we reach the above mentioned stage.
- Switch off the flame , add fired nuts, flour and cardamom powder and mix well.
- Ally ghee to your palm and make small balls/laddus from the mixture.
- Its very healthy though it doesn't look very interesting ...:-) you can pack this in snack dabba for kids .
